U.S. helicopters just passing through
If you are among the many Belizeans along the coast who looked skyward on Saturday and saw the menacing silhouette of 3 huge strange looking helicopters, you can now breathe a little easier. The choppers were not part of any invasion force. According to the Defense Ministry the three Chinook helicopters belonging to the U.S. Army were on their way from Mexico to their base in Honduras when one of them developed engine problems. They asked permission to overnight in Belize and were on their way the next day.
