Gilroy Usher Sr. Takes Gilroy Usher Jr. to Court

Gilroy Usher Jr.

Port Loyola Area Representative Gilroy Usher Senior and his son, who bears his namesake, appeared in court before the Chief Magistrate.  Gilroy Usher Junior has been charged with damage to property after he allegedly damaged shutters, as well as a glass door, at his father’s place of business.  A family dispute resulted in criminal charges being brought against Usher Junior on Wednesday evening, after he reportedly damaged shutters valued at twenty thousand dollars.  It is alleged that he intentionally and unlawfully caused damage to Ancellia Stevens after uttering the words, “I wah damage da red vehicle by running into it and ah wah damage the pawn shop in Belize City, Belmopan and Orange Walk and harm to a woman”.  Usher Junior, who is attending law school, appeared unrepresented before the Chief Magistrate where he pleaded not guilty to all three charges.  The charges stem from separate incidents that occurred on June twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth.  There was no objection to bail being offered.  Usher Junior is out on separate bails of one thousand, five hundred dollars each, plus sureties of the same amount. The conditions of his bail is that he must not interfere with the virtual complainants, including his father.
