Protestors take a day off in Guyana
In news from Guyana protesters have declared a day of rest,but vow to continue their marches later in the week. Supporters of the People’s National Congress had demonstrated on the streets of Georgetown for the previous two days, in defiance of a government ban on political gatherings. The protests, which arose out of P.N.C. allegations of voting fraud by the ruling People’s Progressive Party, have been broken up by security forces using teargas.
