Elmer Nah Returns to Court for Partial Disclosure

Elmer Nah

Former Cop Elmer Nah returned to the Belmopan Magistrate Court this morning for partial disclosure in the triple homicide case of David, Jon and Viviane Ramnarace. The three were socializing on Jon and Viviane’s property on News Years night in Belmopan when a lone gunman ambushed them. David and Jon died that night as a result of the gunshot injuries they sustained. Viviane passed away fifteen days later. Investigators suspect that the former cop pulled the trigger that took the lives of all three individuals. Arthur Saldivar, the legal advisor and spokesperson for the Ramnarace family, told us what transpired in court this morning.

“Today’s hearing was for disclosure to have been made to Elmer Nah. What transpired was unprecedented in the sense that yes disclosure was made, but it was made directly to his attorney without him being present in court. When he did appear in court it was then he was informed because his attorney had already left the building. This more than likely occurred before nine o’clock, before court convened, which makes it even more curious as to why it was done that way. The prosecution has within its purview how they disclose the materials they have upon which they are going to form their case. It is not every case that you get disclosure all at once. So, partial disclosure, I believe at this point came as a result t of certain statements made by the presiding magistrate in the matter prior to now, which made it a matter of urgency that the prosecution provide disclosure at the earliest possible time. So, they came through with something today. More than likely on the next occasion in August they will provide the remaining portion of that disclosure.”
