Several Persons Detained for Firing Shots on Unity Street

Police have detained a number of persons pending investigation, following a number of shots fired last night on Unity Street, in the Port Loyola area of Belize City. Today, Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams shared that investigators made the detentions based on what they observed when they arrived at the scene. He did not say whether if charges will follow.

“Police did respond to information of shots fired on Unity Street last night and several persons were detained in that area. Police saw them picking up expended shells from the streets and based on that they were detained and are currently being questioned by the police.”
