Police officer’s truck destroyed by fire on highway
A vehicle belonging to a police officer was destroyed by fire but the police department is not calling it arson yet. Augustine Cobb, a thirty-three year old Police Constable of San Pedro Village in the Corozal District parked his Chevy S-ten pick up in a yard between miles seventy-four and seventy-five on the Northern Highway. He did that on Monday at about five-thirty p.m., the same day that tensions were high at the Tower Hill Bridge in the confrontation between farmers on the security forces. Constable Cobb was on duty in Orange Walk and when he returned to pick up his vehicle at seven a.m. Tuesday morning, he found it completely burnt.
