Police Believe Gabrel Tillett’s Murder is Linked to A Previous Homicide
On Wednesday, the family of eighteen-year-old Gabrel Tillett told News Five their strong belief is that he was lured into a white jeep and killed by someone who took away his cell phone as collateral for weed that he owed for. Today, police formally arrested and charged twenty-eight-year-old Samuel Trapp with Tillett’s murder. Police Commissioner, Chester Williams told the media that the police investigations have led them to believe that Tillett’s murder is linked to a previous homicide.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“Police investigations so far have indicated that there may have been three persons involved in placing the body at the cemetery. We have identified two of those three persons and we are in the process of trying to locate them at this time. We believe that it might be as a result of a previous murder that took place in the Antelope Street extension area.”

“So the family’s claim that it had to do with some weed that he had smoked out and owed for and that his cell phone was taken away the night before has no bearing on what police have found?”
Chester Williams
“Like I said, we believe it’s retaliation for a previous murder.”

“What about a white vehicle that he got into around nine on Monday night?”
Chester Williams
“I’m not aware of that white vehicle. I can only tell you what we have seen on video footages that we have viewed.”
