Man found with 22lbs of cannabis; charged with Drug Trafficking
A Belize City resident was caught with a substantial sum of cannabis in his home. Twenty-four year old Micah Lee Williams, a resident of Raccoon Street Extension, who police reportedly busted with twenty-two pounds of cannabis on Wednesday, was charged with Drug Trafficking when he appeared today in Magistrates’ court. Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie offered him bail of eight thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until April twenty-first.
On February fourth, police officers searched Williams’ home and found a white plastic bucket in his bathroom filled with weed. When they searched the yard of an abandoned building adjacent to Williams’ residence, they found an additional twenty-four pounds of cannabis, an A.K. forty-seven assault rifle and a nine millimetre pistol. The firearms and cannabis were labeled as found property, since they were found in an abandoned building.
