An Expecting Mother is Knocked Down in a Hit & Run

Thirty-nine-year-old Glenda Estrada, an expecting mother, was knocked down during a hit and run incident over the weekend in Ladyville.  Estrada was at a store purchasing items that she needed, ahead of being admitted to ward at the K.H.M.H. for the delivery of her son, when she was struck by a vehicle.  According to her common-law husband, Nelson Pech, he was at home when he heard a loud bang.  He immediately ran outside to see what had happened when he realized that Estrada had been injured.  Pech told News Five today that he did everything possible to transport his wife to Belize City for emergency medical attention, including a C-section to bring forth the newborn.
