Daisy Lopez is Charged for the Murder of Progresso Vendor

Daisy Lopez has been charged for the murder of her sister-in-law. On Tuesday, police formally arrested and charged the twenty-three-year-old for fatally stabbing fifty-two-year-old Rosita Olivera in Progresso Village. Lopez was detained on Sunday night, following the incident which occurred when the deceased intervened in a quarrel between Lopez and her common-law husband William Olivera. Lopez introduced a knife at some point and stabbed the deceased multiple times to the face and chest. Lopez was detained shortly after the fatal stabbing and she was charged for the crime. She was arraigned today and remanded to the Belize Central Prison in Hattieville.
