Why Did G.O.B. Restrict the Media from Analyzing Redistricting Proposal?
As we’ve reported, the Briceño administration has expressed serious concerns on the redistricting report which will be tabled at the next sitting of the House of Representatives. It was a lengthy process carried out by the Elections and Boundaries Commission, and according to the commission, the media was restricted from analyzing and reporting on the proposal. This attempt at locking out the fourth estate by the government raised eyebrows and on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde was asked about it. Here’s what he said.

“Sometimes things get contentious between us, but we need to move beyond that and we need to try to work together, your work and my work is supposed to be in furtherance of the people, it’s supposed to illuminate and enlighten people, sometimes things do get contentious but ultimately, I don’t even know who put that release so, but, enough said.”
