Serrano’s Bus Service Had a Lot of Infractions

The road service permit for Serrano’s Bus Service expired last Friday, but for some time now, they had not been providing service from Lord’s Bank to Belize City – much to the dissatisfaction of commuters. Central Transit is reportedly owned by a political operative in Belize Rural Central.  Transport Minister Rodwell Ferguson responded to allegations that it was a political move to get Serrano’s out.  The minister denies this and today disclosed some of the infractions tabled against Serrano’s Bus Service.

“Go to the transport board and ask them what questions and see all the discrepancies against Serrano and then by yourself you will determine if you know if it was justly done or not justly done. You go and see the amount of discrepancies against him and then you make your own determination.”

“Apparently, Serrano’s had a lot of infractions. Do you have any knowledge of these infractions? What are they?”

Rodwell Ferguson

“Well crash into another bus because of the competition, then too pulling guns on some people around the area. So there are many infractions so the board decided that they don’t want to renew his contract or his road service permit. And then, remember Mister Shaw represents the bus owners on the board and even him voted against Serrano to get his contract renewed so, something is wrong.”
