Unfazed by Redistricting Proposal, Rado Says He Will Win Next Election
Also chiming in on the redistricting proposal is Stann Creek area representative Rodwell Ferguson. His constituency has almost eleven thousand registered voters and is one of two that is recommended to be split. Now, as we’ve reported, The Briceño Administration has expressed serious concerns about the proposal and several cabinet ministers have gone on record to say that it does not align with international norms. Today, Ferguson gave his take on the proposal.
Rodwell Ferguson, Area Representative, Stann Creek West
“Well I know that should go to the house; I think whenever the house meets again. And the house will determine based on a vote if it should proceed or not. But whatever the outcome is, I am prepared to work with it because I have a very good relationship with my constituency even though it almost reach eleven thousand. I will find it so bad losing some of them. I know they need resources to maintain it, but whatever the circumstances, I have no fear. I am going to win the next election.”

“What are some of those changes for your division?”
Rodwell Ferguson
“I don’t want to comment on the proposed changes now because it noh gone to the house as yet. So I noh want to make any proposition and then it come back to haunt me.”
