“At this present moment all we could say is that police get called based on information of this abandoned vehicle here on this feeder road and proceeded, and found out there was a male person, body appears to be at a decomposed stage that it is unrecognizable. At this moment we cannot say the identity of the individual or what really transpired, but it has been processed, the body has been moved to the laboratory where a postmortem examination is awaiting.”
The family of twenty-three-year-old Belize City resident, Phozaun Lewis, says he has been missing since Tuesday. They were gathered at the scene of this afternoon’s discovery, because they believe the decomposed body is his. They were seen grieving at the location. One relative was allowed to enter the cordoned area to assist in identifying the body.
