PM Briceno Scoffs at No-confidence Motion
On Tuesday, Opposition Leader Shyne Barrow submitted a No-confidence Motion against Prime Minister John Briceño to the Clerk of the House of Representatives. The move is intended to establish that the head of government is no longer capable of leadership in that capacity and that his ministerial colleagues, as well as other elected members of parliament no longer support him. This afternoon, when we caught up with P.M. Briceño at the airport, we asked him about the latest offensive by the United Democratic Party.

“A no-confidence motion has been brought against you in your absence by the Leader of the Opposition. I’m not sure if you’ve been aware of this development. How do you respond?”
Prime Minister John Briceño
“You really want me to answer that?”
Isani Cayetano
“Yes.”
John Briceño
“You really want me to answer that?”
Isani Cayetano
“Yes, sir.”
John Briceño
“There is nothing to answer. They are five of them, we are twenty-six of us and of the five of them, usually sometimes only two of them show up. So, you do the math.”
