Brads gets multimillion dollar Boledo contract

It was also the subject of the famous Quitar ad against the U.D.P., in the 2008 election. Brads has now landed a contract to administer the Belize Government Lotteries. In a release late this afternoon, government announced its decision which had been the source for speculation for some time because a well placed U.D.P. insider is said to be behind the contract. According to the G.O.B. release, the current lottery system is outdated and by outsourcing it, revenues will be maximized, from a point nine million dollars to a guaranteed two million dollars annually by way of an annual fee, a profit sharing arrangement and business tax. The new administration will kick in on April first next year and according to government nothing will change as far as it pertains to the lottery tickets until 2011, when electronic sales begin.
