Will House Committee Bring Attention to an Absent ‘Sista B’

Will there be an amendment made to force Queen Square area representative Denise “Sista B” Barrow to show up to House Meetings? That’s a question that was posed to cabinet minister and Freetown area representative Francis Fonseca. He told the media that house committees are looking at the absences.

“We’ve all been on record to say that that is an absolute travesty, it is a disgrace that a duly elected member of the house has really not shown up at all to do her job for two and a half years. I think she has attended one or two meetings for very brief periods of those meetings. But in terms of the standing orders, they have select committees, house committees that look at these things. So that would have to be something that came out of that select committee – the standing order committees, the house committees – if they make a recommendation, I am sure we’ll look at it.”
