A Second Shooting Occurred Sunday Night over a Woman

The violence did not end there. Sometime after nine p.m., another man was shot, and as luck – or fate would have it, the motive of this attack was also over a woman. This time, the shooting occurred on Cumberbatch Street, just off Lacroix Boulevard in the Lake-I area. Police Commissioner, Chester Williams shared the details with the media, and assured that investigators have detained the ex-boyfriend in this case pending charges.

“Police received information of shots fired on Cumberbatch Street, and again, police responded to a house where they met a male person suffering from gunshot injuries to the stomach. He reported to the police that he was at home along with his common-law wife when the ex-boyfriend of the common-law wife came and fired two shots at him, one hitting him in the stomach and the other grazed his head. He was taken to the hospital where he is currently admitted in a critical but stable condition. We’re hoping that he’s going to make a full recovery. The ex-boyfriend of the common-law wife is currently in police custody and we are hoping that charges will be laid against him sometime soon.”
