Corozal Brothers Attacked By Machete Wielding Men

According to reports, just before midnight on Friday, police visited Fourth Avenue where they observed twenty-eight-year-old Franklin Moreno with injuries to his arm. Initial investigation reveals that Franklin Moreno and Douglas Moreno were socializing at a local bar when a brawl broke out and both brothers decided to leave the establishment. As they left, the brothers were attacked by two male persons who exited the back of a white pickup truck. Armed with machetes, the men inflicted chop wounds to Franklin Moreno’s body. He was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital for medical attention, where he was listed in stable condition.
