No Bail for Kevaughn Middleton for Attempted Murder
Twenty-four-year-old Kevaughn Middleton, a barber of Caesar Ridge Road, remains at the Belize Central Prison awaiting bail. That’s because he was arraigned on July tenth on several criminal offenses, including attempted murder, wounding, and use of deadly means of harm upon security guard Kelvin Todd. When Middleton appeared before a Senior Magistrate today he learned that while the law allows the court to grant bail for other matters that are not serious, in his case, bail is not automatic after ninety days on remand. He was subsequently advised to make an application to the High Court. Today makes two months and four days since Middleton was taken into custody after he allegedly made an attempt on the life of the security guard. Kevaughn Middleton is scheduled to return to court on October nineteenth.
