Minor remanded to boot camp for Photo Lab robbery

And in the Family Court, a minor also faced robbery charges for another incident late last week. The Belize Photo Lab outlets downtown are going out of business and on Friday afternoon two thieves sped up the process by robbing the Bishop Street store at gunpoint. A sixteen year old minor was charged with Robbery today in connection with that incident. He appeared unrepresented and pleaded not guilty to the offences, but was remanded to the Hattieville Booth Camp until December twenty-third. Another suspect, an eighteen year old Belize City resident, was detained and released on Sunday because of a lack of evidence. An employee of the store, Jose Javier, says he was at work when the men entered the store and held him and his colleagues at gunpoint. According to Javier, one of the men searched the office and stole electronics collectively valuing over seven thousand dollars. The two packed the items in a knapsack and ran but police caught the minor minutes later as he rode a bicycle on Plues Street carrying the stolen items.
