SP Mayor says He’s Delivered and is Ready to Continue work in San Pedro
San Pedro Mayor Wally Nunez says that he and his team have been working since taking office in 2021 and have been able to get a lot done, despite the condition in which they found the town council’s accounts. As the PM mentioned earlier, Nunez and his slate are being endorsed. Mayor Nunez says that San Pedranos are happy with the work of their town council and they are ready for another term in office.
Wally Nunez, Mayor, San Pedro
“Our team has been working since day one. I know there’s a lot of people that say that the political parties start to move during election time, but we have proven otherwise. We started to work from day one; the first year we started to work on all these streets and it is just a continuation of the work that we started. I know there’s a lot of people that might be impatient when it comes to the roads in their areas – that it is blocking traffic here and there – but once it is done, Duane, it is a long term plan so that people can have their streets in a better position that we can drive through the areas. It brings economic growth in all these areas; it connects all the different areas and residential areas so it is something positive for all the development of our island.”
Duane Moody
“Do you think you have done enough to secure another term?”
Wally Nunez
“I believe so, Duane, and the work speaks for itself. We are out there talking to people, talking to the residents, listening to their concerns and it is very positive that we are hearing. The feedback; it is something that warms my heart to know that people are happy with our work and we will just continue the work because that is what we were elected for – to serve the people.”
Duane Moody
“Any idea of who will go up against you?”
Wally Nunez
“At the moment, we are hearing a lot of different names; I hear there is a lot of infighting between them, however, we are not focused on that. We are focusing on our work, what we have to do, what we have to accomplish because at the end of the day people elected us to serve the people.”
Mayor Nunez says that the council’s audit is being finalized and will soon be presented to the residents of San Pedro.
