Minister Musa Commends Police Department on Crime Fighting Efforts

Minister Musa was also asked about the decrease in violent crimes for 2023 and whether the statistics validate the Commissioner of Police’s performance. Minister Musa responded by saying that the decrease is a testament of improved performance across the department.

“I think that more than the commissioner’s solidification it is the entire department. Many time police have a terrible job. Many times the media is the first to go an attack the police department. But you have seen over the last year where there is a less accusations against the police department for abuse and brutality. So you can see where there is a pivot within the department and along with that comes excellent police work going hand in hand with the LIU and so yes at the very top there is the commissioner of police but all police officer I think this year has been a good year for them and so we have to congratulate them when we are seeing the kind of results we are now seeing.”
