Decomposed Body of Julio Zapata Found in Bella Vista, Toledo
Over the weekend, the decomposing body of an Orange Walk resident was discovered inside a van in Bella Vista Village in the Toledo district. ComPol Chester Williams say that no foul play is suspected in the death of Julio Enriquez Zapata, but a post-mortem soon to be conducted will determine what caused his death.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“At this time, we do not suspect foul play. The police did discover the body. We believe that it may be an incident of natural death. But we still have to await a post-mortem. We are hoping that the post-mortem will reveal more to us and we’ll be able to arrive at a definitive cause of death. But there was no signs of violence on the body and so we do not suspect foul play at this time.”
Duane Moody
“Is there anything to suggest what he was doing there? Did he live there in Bella Vista?”
Chester Williams
“Well from what I have been briefed, it is that he was known to be one of those persons who consumed alcohol heavily. So I don’t know if that may have been a contributing factor, but like I said I am going to leave that for the pathologist during the post-mortem to ascertain.”
