Another Legal Victory for Gwen’s Kitchen
We also spoke with Tiffany Cadle, who told us that she is satisfied with the ruling of the High Court. She says they have been fighting the cases brought against them by the businesswoman for the past few years. This matter was the third claim brought against Gwen’s Kitchen since it was established.
Tiffany Cadle, Proprietor, Gwen’s Kitchen
“It was pure excitement. I am grateful that the court was able to see through everything and, you know, and we come out of this victorious. It‘s a big relief from both me and Kenyon Flowers and the pressure that we were under. So it‘s a really wonderful feeling.”
Isani Cayetano
“This is a long and hard-fought battle, in terms of the cases before the High Court, in terms of the persistence of the claimant. What do you make of this in terms of perhaps the idea of a big and well-established business trying to box out the other small entrepreneurs who are trying to make a living for themselves on Coney Drive?”
Tiffany Cadle
“You know what is good about this is that we have a justice system that looks out for all. Normally we would say that when a small person is involved with a fight, we tend to always be at the losing end, but in this scenario it‘s almost like David and Goliath. We were able to come out on top. I know a lot of people will say that‘s because I have legal background, we have a strong legal network, but it‘s not just that. It‘s about the support from the people that come to Gwen‘s Kitchen, from our customers, from our staff, from everybody.”
