Police on High Alert for Halloween Trick or Treating
It’s Halloween and across the country, there will be many persons engaged in trick or treating. It is also a time that unsavoury characters may use as an opportunity to commit crimes. ComPol Chester Williams says that there are patrols out to keep the public safe.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“The police do take these times very seriously and we are going to ensure that we enhance our presence in the business area, in particular, as well as other areas where we believe criminals may use the opportunities to commit crime. Yes, we know that the wearing of the Halloween masks and these sorts of things can be used as a disguise to go and commit crimes. So we are going to be on full alert tonight.”

“Any advice to residents?”
Chester Williams
“Well again, just be careful in terms of what you do, be careful where you go to trick or treat. And again, people may come and knock on your door to say trick or treat; just make sure you know who you open your door to.”
