Chester Says He Isn’t Going Nowhere

Chester Williams

Last week, we told you about information received by our newsroom that Commissioner of Police Chester Williams was going on pre-retirement leave as of December of this year. Well today, ComPol Williams reiterated that he is nowhere close to retirement age and he will, at the least, remain as commissioner until the end of 2024. That’s because his elected position as president of the Commission of the Chiefs and Directors of Police for Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia and Mexico won’t come to an end until December of 2024. Here’s how ComPol Williams puts it.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“I certainly can’t go on pre-retirement leave in December. I am extremely far from the age of retirement. I can confirm to the media that I am not going nowhere in December.  I will continue my tenure as Commissioner of Police until the time comes that I decide to leave or the government decide to do otherwise.”
