Jason Lawrence admits to killing girlfriend

And in the courts today, thirty-three year old Jason Bruce Lawrence was charged for the murder of his girlfriend. Lawrence, a driver and resident of Japan Area in Ladyville was charged for the fatal stabbing of forty year old Mercedes Carrillo. Lawrence pleaded guilty to the charge and said that he had already given police a caution statement in which he confessed to committing the crime. But the Chief magistrate told him that there is a process that must be adhered to before his case goes to trial. And as a result, he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until January seventh. The incident occurred around one a.m. last Friday while Carrillo was at home in Burrell Boom with her three children. Following a domestic dispute, Lawrence returned to the home, busted in the front door and stabbed Carrillo twice—to the left side of the abdomen and under the left breast. In her mother’s defense, eighteen year old Diana Carrillo grabbed the knife from Lawrence and stabbed him to the shoulder. Carrillo was rushed to the KHMH, but while receiving treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
