“You will see unprecedented amount of work with respect to streets, so thanks to Minister Julius Espat; he has put in quite a bit, over three million dollars in streets in the villages starting here in Hope Creek, Sarawee and Dangriga. The municipality only has a certain amount of funds that it can invest in streets and now the government has come in and is putting that investment and bringing us up to the level that we want to get.”

“We have never paved so much streets in the history of Dangriga as to what we are doing right now with the drainage and the cleaning of the town and trying to fix everything. We are coming out from a very deep hole and I know the frustration of the mayor – and I hear it all over the country of we want to do more. We want to do more, but we have to work with the little that we have. What is important is that we are not wasting; we are spending that money wisely, properly and to give the best bang for your buck and provide that service that our people deserve.”

Dr. Louis Zabaneh

“Additionally, you will hear soon about the reopening of the Commerce Bight Port. You will hear soon about a big investment in front of Sacred Heart Church area for a multipurpose park; you will also hear about the refurbishing of the town pier, so quiet an amount of things.”
