Safiyyah finds a top model catwalk and other weekend activities

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize?

This Saturday the Lady of Guadalupe annual parish fair will be held. The fair will run from ten a.m. until eight p.m. There will be lot of food and drinks on sale as well as games and horseback riding. There will even be a Santa that the kids can take pictures with and he’ll be giving away gifts.

Holy Redeemer will also be having their Christmas Bazaar this Saturday. This will be held on the school campus and begins at four p.m. There will be games like ring toss, fish pond, tambola and many more. There will be lots to eat and drink. So check that out.

And the big fundraiser everyone is talking about is the Toys for Tots Rock the Runway show happening this Saturday night at the Biltmore. This event will feature some of Belize’s best models in the latest fashion. Of course I have to mention the international celebrities that will be present that night, Fonzworth Bentley, Braune Chambers and Bianca Golden. This show will feature performances by Belize’s own Tanya carter, Mr. Program and others. The show will begin at seven p.m. at the Biltmore Plaza Garden. Well you know with a big event like this one the question on everyone’s mind is “where’s the after party?” This huge after party “Glow” will be held inside Club next and will feature the mega stars and the models. You can enter the club for free with you pass from the show so you should definitely head over there after the show.

If your into pool and you think you’re good at it, then you should check out the huge Billiards tournament happening over the weekend at the multi-purpose complex in Orange Walk. Between first, second and third prize the will be giving away seven thousand dollars. If you are interested in participating then can call Adin Aragon at 610-3143.

On Sunday you have the opportunity to go see the Ballet Art School’s Christmas recital being held at the Bliss at five p.m. Tickets are only ten dollars reserved and five dollars general.
