Chinese Businessman Charged for False Report of Stolen Vehicle

Jian Kun Huang

Asian businessman Jian Kun Huang pleaded guilty to a mischievous act when he appeared before the lower court today.  The thirty-one-year-old resident of Blue Marlin Drive reported to police that his 2015 Nissan Murano had been stolen on September twenty-ninth, 2023.  He informed officers that the vehicle, valued at eleven thousand dollars, was parked in front of his shop and had been stolen between the hours of nine a.m. and four p.m. that day.  After recording the statement, police launched an investigation into the alleged theft.  When the vehicle was located on October fourth, it was on West Collet Canal and was being driven at the time by Marlon Alvarez.  He was escorted to the police station where he was informed of the theft report filed by Huang.  Alvarez subsequently produced the documents confirming his ownership of the vehicle.  Alvarez was also able to provide the title and transfer of the vehicle which was in his name.  Further checks with the Department of Transport indicated that Huang owed for a traffic ticket when he was the owner of the vehicle.  Huang was detained and charged with committing a mischievous act.
