Belizean found murdered in Mexico

A Belizean has been found dead in neighboring Chetumal. His body was found on Sunday afternoon in a pool of blood and had multiple wounds. According to reports in the Mexican press, a woman spotted the body near a business named “Flores Magicas” located on Heroes and Lazaro Cardenas avenues. Mexican authorities say the driver’s license found on the man identified him as Abel Martin Lopez Rodriguez. Not far away, a red Cadillac was found with license plates C-00587 which is believed to have belonged to the Belizean. Mexican authorities believe the murder was either motivated by robbery or it was a crime of passion.
