“Popeye” returns to prison on robbery charge

Also in court, a twenty-seven year old Belize City man who was released from prison on bail only two weeks ago was sent back to the Hattieville Prison. Michael Foreman, also known as “Popeye”, allegedly grabbed forty-four year old Ann Pou by the neck and snatched her gold chain valued at seven hundred dollars. Pou claims that she was walking on Orange Street when she was accosted by Foreman. He was later detained by police and brought to the Magistrate Court today to answer to a charge of Robbery. Bail was denied on the grounds that Foreman was recently released on bail. He was remanded until January twenty-sixth.
