Guatemalan and Belizean caught with 10lbs. of weed

And a Guatemalan woman and a Belizean man who were busted in a grey Pontiac vehicle at a checkpoint on the Northern Highway met bail at the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today. Reina Marroguin and Carlos Gonzales, were arraigned before Magistrate Sharon Frazer for the drug trafficking of ten pounds of cannabis. Both were released on bail of five thousand dollars. Police are alleging that this past Sunday, they stopped the vehicle in which both were traveling at a checkpoint located at Miles nineteen on the Northern Highway in the Sandhill area. When a search was conducted, the cannabis was allegedly found in a bag inside a suitcase.
