Dangriga Man is Knocked Down and Killed on 19th Morning

A cyclist in Dangriga lost his life over the Garifuna Settlement Day weekend when he was knocked down and killed by the driver of a sports utility vehicle on Sunday. According to police, Allen Brooks has been served with a Notice of Intended Prosecution following the deadly collision that claimed the life of Manuel Hernandez.

“On Sunday, November 19th, 2023, around 5:35 a.m., Dangriga police visited mile two where they saw a Nissan Murano SUV with damages to the front area and they also saw a bicycle on the road. Information is that Allen Brooks was driving the SUV when he knocked down a male person, one Manuel Hernandez, who was on a bicycle. Hernandez was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An NIP has been served on the driver of the SUV and an investigation continues.”
