Man Shot on Antelope Street Extension

A man was shot on Antelope Street Extension in Belize City on the Garifuna Settlement Day holiday on Monday. Police say that while they have been following leads, they have no suspects as yet for the attack, and the wounded man is in stable condition. A.C.P Hilberto Romero told reporters today that police are conducting stop and search in the area to minimize retaliation.

“On Monday, the 20th day of November 2023, police responded to a shooting at Antelope Street Extension area. Upon arrival, they found Jermaine Wagner, 28 years with gunshot injuries to the body. Information is that he was hanging with other persons at the yard at that address when a person approached and fired several shots towards his direction, causing his injuries.  He was taken to the KHMH, where he is admitted in a stable condition.”
