G.O.B. Says Belize is on Time with Anti-Corruption Law
Going back to the issue of anti-corruption, Minister Usher said that in order for Belize to adapt the conventions to which we have signed onto, including the UN Convention against Corruption, UNCAC, legislation has to be enacted. But he said that we are on schedule with introducing those laws.
Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Public Service
“In terms of the laws, we are on schedule with the laws being introduced. Sometimes they go – or they’re debated, they go to the Senate, they come back. But these laws are important for us to put and not, not only to have it on the books, but also to, as you say, implement it and to utilize it for better government practices.”
