CEOs Monthly Telephone Allowance More Than Doubles

On November fourteenth, Financial Secretary Joseph Waight wrote to Cabinet Secretary Stuart Leslie confirming the approval of an increase in the monthly telephone allowance for all C.E.O.’s, the Cabinet Secretary, the Financial Secretary and the Solicitor General.  Those government officials within the Briceño administration had been receiving an allowance of two hundred and fifty dollars monthly.  That stipend has been more than doubled to six hundred dollars and will come into effect from the respective dates of their soon-to-be-renewed contracts.  We note that there have been concerns raised by the public in respect of the recent adjustment.
