Accused rapist and murderer testifies against co-defendants

Story PictureIn crime news before the courts, the trial of three men accused for the rape and murder of Cruz Sho in Lord’s Bank over two years ago, began on Monday. The main suspect was nineteen year old Ervin Franklin, who was charged along with his uncle Lindsdale Franklin and his cousin Ryan Herrera. When the case resumed today, however, Ervin appeared as the main witness for the prosecution and he was given immunity to testify against Lindsdale and Ryan. Ervin told the court his version of the gruesome crime. He testified that his uncle and cousin picked him up on March fifteenth 2007 and told him they were going on a big money move. He said they took him to a green bungalow house where they tied up Sho, who was twenty years old at the time. Ervin then claimed that he watched as Lindsdale and Ryan took turns raping Sho and that Ryan was sent to the kitchen to get a fork and knife, which he used to stab the young woman several times to the abdomen and neck. After the murder, Ervin alleges that they ransacked the home and packed clothes and household items into a knapsack and left. Police found Sho lying in a pool of blood with her hands and feet tied. Other witnesses included Alton Flores Junior, who lived at the house, Sho’s common-law husband Eldon Chiac and Forensic Analyst Gaspar Sanchez. The prosecution, which is represented by Cristelle Wilson, will call a final witness before the case closes on Friday.
