Stepfather Charged for Rape of Minor, 14

A thirty-two-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his fourteen-year-old stepdaughter in 2022 is tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison, after he was read five indictable and criminal offenses, including three counts of incest and two counts of sexual assault upon a minor.  The accused stepfather appeared unrepresented before a Senior Magistrate late this evening, where he was accused of sexually assaulting the teenager on three separate occasions, twice in March 2022 and once in September of last year.  No plea was taken from the stepfather and due to the nature of the offenses, bail was denied and he was placed on pretrial detention until January thirtieth, 2024.
