Final House Meeting for 2023 is Likely December 7th
The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet next Thursday, on December seventh. It will likely be the last sitting of parliament for 2023. According to Prime Minister John Briceño, the purpose of the house meeting is to wrap up a number of outstanding bills that pertain to the financial sector, dealing specifically with money laundering and anti-money laundering.

“Yes, we’re going to have a house meeting, I think it’s going to be next week Thursday. We have a number of bills to introduce, especially the ones when it comes to the CFATF, the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force, and a number of laws with banking and money laundering, anti-money laundering and so forth. So we had passed a number of pieces of legislation and we have some more that we have to be presenting next week Thursday.”
