Life in Prison for Convicted Murderer Enrique DePaz
Life in prison, that’s the sentence that was handed down by Justice Antoinette Moore earlier this week in the murder trial of fifty-two-year-old Enrique DePaz. The Silk Grass resident was found guilty of the stabbing death of fifty-two-year-old Harrison Bowers back in February 2016. Bowers was viciously attacked inside his home and stabbed multiple times, he died seven days later on February 27th, 2016. In handing down the ruling, Justice Moore ordered that DePaz will not be eligible for parole until after he has served twenty-three years in prison. On February, twenty-first, 2016, Enrique DePaz, along with two other individuals, visited the home of Harrison Bowers where they began to drink. The group of men then decided to enter Bowers’ residence with the intent to steal. When Bowers happened upon them searching through his belongings, DePaz produced a knife and stabbed him multiple times while the other men escaped from the scene of the incident.
