High Court Rules that Evidence Against Selgado is Admissible
This morning, in the courtroom Justice Nigel Pilgrim a decision was rendered in respect of a voir dire in the ongoing trial of attorney Oscar Selgado. The well-known criminal lawyer is before the High Court to answer charges related to a plot to have Marilyn Barnes killed in July 2019. Selgado has been charged with abetment to commit murder. In respect of the voir dire, a preliminary examination of a witness by a judge or counsel, it was determined that the statement provided by Giovanni Ramirez will be entered into evidence. Giovanni Ramirez alleges that Selgado attempted to hire him to carry out the hit against Barnes. With the decision of the High Court in favor of the crown, Selgado will return to court on December nineteenth when the matter is scheduled to continue.
