Mahogany Heights Inaugurates New Park

A new park has been inaugurated in Mahogany Heights, as the community tries to reshape its image.  On Sunday, the village council, along with other members of the community, came out to celebrate the occasion.  Chairman Jermaine Sanchez says that the new recreational space has been long in the making and serves to bring the community together.

“This recreational space was very important for the youths, but not only the youths, families and children.  When we look at our community, Mahogany Heights has been known over the past years for some not-so-good things, but we wanted the community, we wanted the wider nation to see some good that can come out of us.  After I consulted with the community members and the council, we were able to find some partnership in a company, Infinite Wireless, along with some others who allowed us to have invested in a recreational park where were able to gather funds and get park benches, swings, slides, and other small things that the children and families can use in our community”
