Former B.D.F. volunteer charged with arson

A former Belize Defense Force volunteer soldier is behind bars tonight after he was remanded for a fire that destroyed his brother’s house on Sunday morning. And police believe that forty year old Reynaldo Solano of Pine Street, Dangriga is responsible for the Arson that occurred around seven-thirty that morning. When police and fire officials arrived at the scene they found the three bedroom wooden structure engulfed in flames and were unable to contain the blaze. The losses have been valued at around thirty thousand dollars. The house belonged to Cesar Solano, the brother to the man charged. The contents of the house were not insured.
