Dean Barrow, “Come clean, Mr. Prime Minister.”

Dean Barrow

Is there a sleight of hand at play regarding Foreign Minister Courtenay’s imminent departure and is the Prime Minister purposely dodging the real issue behind Courtenay’s resignation?  Here’s how the former prime minister views the goings-on in Cabinet.

Dean Barrow, Former Prime Minister

“You already, Mr. Prime Minister, are, in my view, not held in very high esteem by the public because of your constant errors, because of your foot-in-mouth disease.  But you are there, you are the prime minister and there’s a degree of respect we must give to you because of that, but in turn you must earn that respect, you must show that you deserve that respect by not trying to pull these extremely clumsy fast ones, these extremely, to repeat the word, inept and maladroit sleights of hand.  Come clean, Mr. Prime Minister, face the public by facing the media and answer the questions.”
