Senior citizen found guilty of aggravated assault of minor
A fifty-two year old man was convicted of Aggravated Assault of a young girl in Magistrates’ Court today. The victim, a ten year old girl, testified in camera and told the court that she was heading to a shop on December ninth when she was lured into the home of Lionel Scott. According to the child, Scott took her into his bedroom where he fondled her and kissed her inappropriately. In his defense, Scott who appeared unrepresented simply told Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb that the girl was lying. He was found guilty and sentenced to the minimum jail term of two years in prison since he is a first time offender.
