One man arrested and another wanted for rape in Belmopan

And in the old capital, a resident has been detained in connection with a rape that occurred on Saturday. Nineteen year old Carlos Montejo also known as “Pollo” was taken into custody after he was reportedly accused as one of two persons who raped a young woman at the Isidora Beaton Stadium in the Garden City. According to reports, the woman was at the stadium with her boyfriend when Montejo and Reynaldo Portillo allegedly approached them. Montejo, armed with a machete, demanded money and then took the girl to a nearby bathroom where he and Portillo raped her. While Montejo has been detained pending charges, police are looking for his partner in crime.
