Safiyyah gets merry with the pre-Christmas celebrations
Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize?
Tonight you can head over to the Bliss and see Carlos Perote and Friends in concert. This is a one night only show and will feature Carlos Perote alongside artists like Junie Crawford, Jason Guerrero, Mark Phillips and Tanya Carter. The show will begin at eight p.m. There will also be lots of entertainment from the orchestra’s and percussion groups from around the country. Tickets are only fifteen dollars reserved and ten general, a great for all that talent in one night so go check it out.
On Saturday night you can head over to palm island the huge Yard Party Bam Bam featuring Swatch International alongside Belize’s very own DJ Dalla, DJ Special, DJ Motion and many more. This event promises to be a night to remember so check that one out.
If you want to do something a little more tranquil on Saturday then you can check out the Belize Choral Society’s presentation of Songs for Christmas. The show will begin at eight p.m. but they’re asking that the audience be seated by seven-forty-five.
Now this weekend, the final weekend will be one of the biggest shopping weekends, if not the biggest. And I have a few helpful tips that have made my shopping experience easier when heading out in the past:
Now for before you head out make a list of who you need to buy gifts for, if you have an idea of what they might like, write it down next to their names. Also on this list you can write what your price range is for that person. If you just write a single number you’ll probably end up going over your budget, so write a range so you know what price you don’t want to go over. For example forty-five to sixty dollars; you know you want to spend at least forty-five and you definitely don’t want to go over sixty. Another tip is to be sure to wear something comfortable. It’s very likely that when you head out to the stores there will be a lot of long lines and there’s nothing worse than being caught in a long line in uncomfortable shoes. Also take into consideration the weather; you don’t wanna be too hot or too cold. And lastly, don’t get caught up in the hype of a new product. A well thought out and heartfelt gift is usually much more well received than a generic expensive one.
Well that’s all I have for now, I’ll be back with you next week when I’ll tell you all the great activities you and your friends and family can do for the holiday weekend. Happy shopping! And remember presentation is always important so put a little time and effort into the wrapping. Bye!
