Ulide Allen Skirts Around The Law Once Again
Tonight, well-known gang member Ulide Allen is out on bail after he was recently charged for handling stolen goods. He was also granted bail on the additional charged picked up today of Contempt of Judicial Order. Allegations are that Allen was ordered by the Magistrate Court to report to the Mahogany Street Police station every Monday and Wednesday as of June 2023, after he was granted bail on his 2023 charge of being a member of a gang and escaping lawful custody. However, Allen willfully neglected the order without a reasonable excuse and was therefore, charged with contempt of court. Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge and while the prosecutor objected to the bail being granted, the magistrate of the lower court offered Allen bail in the sum of one thousand dollars and an additional surety of the same amount. Allen met the bail which came with conditions that he would not move from his current address and remain there while his case is before the court. Allen must also report to the Queen Street Police Station every Tuesday and Thursday. Starting today, Allen will also have a curfew in which he must be indoors between seven pm and seven am. His next court date is set for February 19, 2024.
